How the programme works

Free assessment
One demo session places your child at the right level of the ten.

Master the beads
Two 60-minute classes a week, never more than 10 children to a teacher.

Ten minutes a day
Short practice at home on worksheets and in the portal, tracked weekly.

Test and certificate
Each level closes with an assessment, a written report and a certificate.
The curriculum

Ten levels, three modules

About three months a level. Nobody moves up until the arithmetic is automatic.

Foundation Ages 5–6
Level 1 Level 2
Slower and more physical. Reading the beads, single-digit addition, and learning to sit with a worksheet.
Construction Levels 3–6
Level 3 Level 4 Level 5 Level 6
Addition, subtraction and multiplication. The bead picture moves into the head and the abacus starts to come off the desk.
Advanced Levels 7–10
Level 7 Level 8 Level 9 Level 10
Division, decimals and mental-only work. By Level 10 the abacus is put away for good.
