What exactly is the Master of Mental Maths programme?
A structured Abacus & Mental Maths course for children, taught across eight progressive levels. Children start on a physical abacus and finish doing the same calculations mentally — faster, and without paper.
How does a child move through the eight levels?
Each level builds on the one before it, from basics and number sense through multiplication and division to square roots, cube roots and percentages. A child moves up when they have completed the level, not on a fixed timetable.
What does my child receive on joining?
First-level students receive a learning kit — the first-level books, an abacus and a Master of Mental Maths T-shirt — plus a student login ID for the practice platform.
Does the practice continue at home?
Yes. The student login gives access to extra practice papers and learning games, so the work carries on between classes without you having to invent exercises.
Can my child’s school run the programme?
Schools can partner with us to run the programme alongside regular mathematics, with teacher training, implementation support and level-completion certificates. The school partnership page has the detail.
I want to open my own centre — what support is there?
